How Should We Serve the Lord?

There’s a joy, excitement, strength, passion that always uplifts my spirit when I encounter someone who had just encounter Jesus, maybe mostly for the first years. They pray eagerly and wants to do everything for Jesus and tells everyone about their new love. Their passion is so great. I compared this to a piñata when the candies fall out and all the kids joyfully with great excitement wants to take as much candy as they can; I always enjoys watching it; oh, so priceless. Well overtime, we may feel that excitement, zeal, passion starts to ware off and we tend to find ourselves less in God’s presence, less in spreading his word, less meditating on the word and you become more superficial than diving into the deep things of God. What happen? Is it the devil on attack? Maybe. There is one thing that you need to do within yourself to get back to where you have fallen from. Romans 12:11 instructs believers to Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. When you see that you are becoming weak in serving the Lord, whether is in Prayer, Praise. Worship, studying his word, Strengthen yourself in the Lord. The servants of God must never lack great energy, enthusiasm and a passionate feeling in their pursuit of the Lord. I leave this with you: Serve the Lord with excitement and great passion always as it is pleasing unto him.
