There is a good change and a bad change. I write to you about the Change in Christ Jesus which is good. Change is defined by the Mariam Webster dictionary, as to become different. We as humans are born to change and we continue to change until our time on earth comes to an end. Our God does not change, he is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Some changes are learned while others are natural occurrences in one’s life. I would like for you to think back for as far back as you can remember yourself. When you were a baby in your mother’s womb, normally, you did not cry, but as soon as you were expose, you had to cry. You had to change from not using your mouth to make a sound to now making a sound everyone can hear. You had to go through the stages of life such as learning to eat properly whether its bottle or breastfeeding, learning to sit, crawl, stand and walk. You learn to use your words, sentences, demanded for things you needed. As you grew older, taller, slimmer, fatter, you started to change naturally as your body became more mature. You probably started to become different from yourself, some may call it peer pressure but in the midst you were developing your character and finding out what’s best for you. Now as an adult, you have the ability to make certain changes to your life physically, spiritually and emotionally. As one who serves the one true God it is in your ability to make sure that the choices you make are Godly. You can choose to be sad or to turn your sadness to joy based on what you choose to focus on. You can choose to change your current location by moving to a new country, city or state, you can change the color and style of your hair, you can change your name if you choose, you can change careers and you can change from a worldly mindset to projecting the mind that was in Christ Jesus. In order to change your life, it will require a small step of faith from you. Abraham was a man of Faith, God give him an instruction to leave from Ur of the Chaldees and go to Canaan to settle there. Abraham was familiar with his homeland and still accepted the change by taking a small step of faith that God instructed him to take and packed up all his belongings and started his journey. Joshua being a mentee of Moses had to take charge and become a leader after Moses died; it was a drastic change but he had to follow Gods instruction and accept the change in position by a small step of faith by saying yes Lord I will do it. By strength and Courage, Esther changed her position from being just the niece of Mordecai to the Jewish Queen of Persia by taking a small step of faith by being amongst the many women while staying true to her God. If these people who trusted and believed in God were not going to accept change by taking the small step of faith, they would’ve never inherited the promise to become different. They became different because they took some bold steps as they trusted in God. What do you need to change in your life? Physically? Spiritually? Emotionally? Are you willing to become different in Gods light?
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.Prayer: Lord please help me to trust in you with my whole heart and to boldly take this step of faith you have instructed me to take. I submit to you like Moses, Joshua and Esther that your perfect will be done in me. In Jesus name.
