A human being is made up of the body, soul and spirit. One of the changes mention in part 1 was spiritual change. Spiritual change is a transformation that takes place in a person’s spirit. How a person connects with the spirit of God. This change starts from the inside of a person and the effect later shows on the outside in their words and deeds. Paul said in 2nd Corinthians 5:7, if any man be in Christ he is a new creation. When a person decides to give their life to Christ according to Romans 10:9-10, the spirit of God joins to their spirit and their spirit is change in that moment because they have made Christ the head of their lives. Romans 8:16 “The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God.” Once God spirit is one with our spirit, there is a need for transformation in our lives as sons and daughters of God. Before we received salvation, our soul control our spirit so we live in our sinful nature, we did not pray, did not worship, we were carnal minded and only did things that please us because God was not a priority. We were ungrateful, unthankful and uncertain about life. When you become different spiritually you are to worship God in spirit and in truth and not to please those around you, you pray because you understand it’s the connection with your father in heaven, your life should be one that is righteous and brings Glory to God. When you start to change spiritually than your connection and communication with God becomes vivid as you experience Gods presence. David pleaded with God in Psalm 51, please don’t take your spirit from me. Without Gods spirit to help us we cannot make a spiritual change. Spiritual change gives you a fresh breathe of life, you realize what you’ve been missing, you see life from a new perspective, you think different, you realize your old bad habits are bad. Spiritual change gives you a new meaning to life and how to live it.
Prayer
Father, I thank you for joining your Spirit to my spirit and helping me to be better and do better, I’m sorry for my wrong doings and I take full responsibilities of my wrong. I ask you today to do what you want to do in my spiritual life for you know what’s best for me. Help me to walk in obedience and please don’t take your Holy Spirit away from me.
